Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated (Korean original): November 4, 2026

This is an English translation provided for your convenience. If it differs from the Korean original, the Korean original prevails. Section 11 is additional information for visitors outside Korea. It appears only in this English edition, it was added on November 6, 2026, and it does not change how we handle data.

1. Scope and what you enter

This policy applies to the meal-planning, calculation and search tools at cleaneat.today provided by the CleanEat operator, and to the handling of contact emails. In short: your meal plan inputs are calculated in your browser, we use GoatCounter and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits and usage, and we use contact emails only to reply to you.

CleanEat is a meal-design tool you can use without signing up. Inputs such as sex, age, height, weight, activity level, meal plan goal and food preferences are used for calculation inside your browser. We do not store your body measurements, your detailed answers to each question or your generated meal plans on CleanEat servers.

Your inputs are kept only while you use the current screen and are reset when you refresh. You can look at public information such as meals and nutrition without entering anything, but to calculate a personalized meal plan or calories you must enter the required items the screen asks for. Calculations use the registered equations and meal data, and your inputs are not sent to external AI services.

The search term, page and scroll position in Browse Meals may remain in your browser's history state so that you can return from a detail page. This is different from storing your body measurements, and you can delete it with your browser's history controls.

2. Visit statistics and cookies

We use GoatCounter to understand how the service is used and what to improve. We collect visit statistics such as the pages visited, referrers and browser and device environment, and usage events such as starting a meal plan, moving between steps, the goal type in a result, use restrictions, meal swaps and grocery-list checks. We do not put your body measurements, detailed answers or search terms into statistics events.

GoatCounter states that it does not use cookies or browser storage to track visitors. Statistics such as country, language and screen width may be processed in addition to visit counts, and GoatCounter explains that IP addresses and browser information are processed in memory for up to 8 hours to tell repeat visits apart. This temporary processing time is different from how long the statistics are retained.

If you do not want visit statistics collected, you can block requests to gc.zgo.at and gaon.goatcounter.com with a supporting browser's tracking protection or a content blocker. Because GoatCounter works without cookies, blocking cookies alone does not stop the statistics requests.

You can check the provider's processing and retention information in the GoatCounter privacy information.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to look at site speed and visits. It processes the pages visited, referrers, browser and device information, the country estimated from the connecting IP address and performance measurements such as page load time. Cloudflare states that this feature does not use cookies or browser storage. If you do not want this, you can block requests to static.cloudflareinsights.com with a content blocker.

Cookies are small records that a website leaves in your browser. CleanEat does not create cookies of its own for advertising or visitor tracking. However, the Cloudflare feature that protects the site from automated attacks may set a cf_clearance cookie. It holds the result of checking that you are using a normal browser, and may last up to one year. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but if you block them you may be asked for additional verification when you visit.

3. Contact email

You can contact us at contact@cleaneat.today. When you send an email, we may receive your email address, display name, the content of your message and any attachments. We use this information only to confirm and answer your inquiry and for related follow-up replies, and we do not use it for advertising or promotion.

Sending an email is optional, and you can use the site's calculation and search features without sending one. If there is no address to reply to or no message, we may not be able to answer. Please do not send national ID numbers, passwords, detailed medical records or other people's personal information that is not needed for your inquiry.

4. External services and transfers abroad

To provide the site, produce statistics and handle contact emails, we rely on the companies below. In this process, information is transmitted to and stored in other countries. This site does not provide personal information to any company other than those below.

If you do not want transfers abroad, you can avoid sending contact emails, or block requests to gc.zgo.at, gaon.goatcounter.com, static.cloudflareinsights.com and fonts.googleapis.com with a content blocker. The calculation features still work if you block statistics or font requests, and the fonts will appear in your device's default font. Visits to the site go through Cloudflare, so if you refuse that processing you cannot use the site. How and where each provider processes and stores data in detail may vary according to that provider's policies and settings.

This site does not sell personal information or provide it as material for targeted advertising. Where we are legally obliged to provide it, we process it to the extent necessary.

5. Retention and deletion

Your body measurements and results are processed in your browser's current session and are not kept on CleanEat servers. We keep contact emails until your inquiry is resolved and any necessary follow-up replies are finished, and we delete them without undue delay once they are no longer needed.

When we delete, we clear the original message and attachments in the mailbox managed by the operator together with any copies downloaded separately, and make sure they do not remain in a recoverable trash. Providers' backups and system records may remain separately for a period under that provider's deletion procedures and retention policies.

Information that we are actually required by law to retain is kept only for the stated basis and the necessary items and period, and is not used for any other purpose. Visit statistics are managed according to the aggregation and retention features and account settings of GoatCounter and Cloudflare. It may be difficult to find and delete an individual visit included in statistics as a particular user's record.

6. Your choices and exercising your rights

The person responsible for personal information protection is the CleanEat operator (individually operated). To request access to, a copy of, correction of, deletion of or suspension of processing of the inquiry information the operator holds, or to withdraw consent for processing based on consent, contact contact@cleaneat.today. It helps if you say which inquiry your request concerns and what action you want.

We may ask for the minimum information needed to confirm that you are the person concerned or a lawful representative. Information used for verification is used only to process your request. We handle requests according to applicable law and tell you the result or the reason processing is limited. Suspending processing or deleting may make it difficult to answer an inquiry in progress.

Because we do not keep your inputs on a server, the operator cannot look up or restore your meal plan or entries. If your concern is not resolved, you can look at the guidance of the Korean Personal Information Infringement Report Center or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee.

7. Users under 18

Only people aged 18 or older may use the personalized meal plans and the calorie calculator. People under 18 are not covered by the current calculation features, even with a guardian's consent. We limit progress based on the age you enter, and we do not verify age with ID.

The site is not operated to collect health information or detailed body information of users under 18 through contact emails. If we learn that such information has been sent, we take necessary measures such as deleting it without delay. Information that must be kept by law is processed only to the extent that obligation requires. If you or a guardian learn that it was collected, please tell us at contact@cleaneat.today.

This includes children under 13 (for example under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and under the age of digital consent in the EU and UK. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Security measures

The site is served over HTTPS, and by not storing body measurements on a server we limit what is kept. We handle inquiry information only to the extent needed to reply. However, we cannot eliminate every risk of internet communication and the use of external services. If we confirm a breach of personal information, we check the facts and impact, and take necessary protective measures and make the notifications and reports required by relevant law.

9. When you go to external sites

Clicking an external link, such as Instagram or a nutrition data source, takes you to that service. The information provided there and its collection and retention follow that company's privacy policy. Providing a link does not mean CleanEat sends your meal plan inputs to that site.

10. Changes to this policy and contact

If the purposes of processing, the services we use or the items we collect change, we will describe the changes and the effective date on this page. For changes that significantly affect your rights, we will notify you on the site before they apply, and where separate consent is needed we will follow that procedure. We do not treat your continued use of the site alone as consent to new processing of personal information.

11. Additional information for visitors outside Korea

This section is for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States. It repeats and organizes what is described above, and the rest of this policy applies as written.

Who is responsible

The CleanEat operator, an individual who handles personal information under Korean data protection law, decides how the personal information described in this policy is used. Contact: contact@cleaneat.today. We have not appointed a data protection officer or a representative in the EEA or UK.

Why we process data, and on what basis

What you enter for a meal plan or calculation stays in your browser and is not processed by us. You are not required to give us any personal information to use the site, other than what your browser sends automatically when it loads a page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To use these rights, email contact@cleaneat.today. We handle requests from visitors anywhere in the same way, and we respond within the time that applicable law requires. As Section 6 explains, we can only find information tied to an email you sent us, because we do not keep your entries and statistics are aggregated.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK. You can also use the Korean bodies listed in Section 6.

Transfers across borders

Your data is handled by GoatCounter, Cloudflare and Google in the countries listed in Section 4, and by the operator in Korea. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on the safeguards each provider describes in its own policy, which are linked in Section 4.

U.S. state privacy laws

Whether or not laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act apply to CleanEat, this is how we handle personal information.
